Pictured is one or our early projects at the original Nautica Stage in Cleveland. RCS did the audio production for Richard Marx, Seal, Jethro Tull, Frankie Valli, White Zombie and many other big name artists of that era.

It all began in 1988 as “Rock Capital Sound” offering audio reinforcement for the entertainment industry. Touring both regionally and nationally with a wide range of Grammy Award winning artists, Rock Capital Sound’s progressive growth caught the attention of both local and regional promoters.

The notoriety allowed us to enter a new market of Special Events, where we quickly gained recognition for our superior equipment and impressive list of services we provided to our clients. From this point we were viewed as more than just a sound company and changed our identity from Rock Capital Sound to RCS Corporation in 1991. This shift was the beginning of an energetic growth period for RCS Corporation and allowed us to be seen as more than just a sound company. It opened the door to many new markets including Business Theater, Corporate Events, A/V Installations and the Exhibition Industry.

It didn’t stop here. Later the same year RCS Corporation was added to the Whitehouse Communication Staff vendor list. RCS hit the campaign trail providing production services to presidential, gubernatorial, senate, congressional and mayoral candidates encompassing both Democratic and Republican parties in multiple national markets including Ohio, Michigan, Texas, California and Louisiana.

The years that followed the momentous 1991 growth showed no signs of RCS slowing down. In fact, those beginning years showed our amazing ability to grow and adapt to new markets.

A Look Back:
1995 – RCS Corporation expands its inventory to keep up with the rising demand for handling special events for university commencement ceremonies, grand openings, press conferences, parties and galas by adding more audio reinforcement, drapery and lighting.

1997 – The lighting department is expanded; then, in 1998 to satisfy increasing customer needs, RCS Corporation doubles the lighting inventory.

1999 – Continuing its growth, RCS purchases StageRight Staging. With this purchase RCS can provide the full production package to clients: staging, lighting and audio reinforcement.

2000 – RCS purchases Thunder and Lightning, a specialty intelligent light, laser and pyrotechnic effect production company. Now RCS can provide a wide range of special effects and cater to a client base that requires intelligent lighting for trade shows, exhibitions, corporate functions and special events. Additionally, video projection and video services were added in the same year.

2008 – Purchase of Florida based Turn of the Century Productions, a full service event production company similar to RCS. Two locations enables RCS to expand services across the U.S.

2015 – LED Video Display Walls are added to the RCS inventory in order to provide video display solutions to event and installation customers. The high resolution screens look great indoor or outdoor and from any angle deliver crisp, bright, vibrant content and images.

Today RCS Corporation is one of the largest full service event production companies in the U.S. and a leading provider of audio, video, lighting and staging. We’ve become a one stop production shop for a multitude of markets including Corporate Events, Business Theater, Entertainment, Concert Touring, Political Events & Rallies, A/V Installations, Exhibits & Displays, Fashion Shows, Marathons, Races, Walks, Galas, Parties, Product Launches, Mobile Marketing Tours, Grand Openings and Meetings & Conventions. Our two locations in Ohio and Florida allow us to service the Northeast and Southeast of the U.S. and beyond. We are a day’s drive away to over seventy percent of the country!

Through our growth and through all the years, RCS Corporation remains committed to our clients by providing superior customer service and products and will continue this commitment in years to come.
